Gutter Width Printing

Gutter width can take up 1 4 to 1 2 from the page therefore there must be an extra 1 4 1 2 of safety margin space on the side of the page where the gutter spine will be. Page width for all pages should now be 9 11 inches.
Generally speaking 0 5 inches for your gutter margin is recommended for most books. When laying out pages gutters should not be so narrow that columns run together.
