Half Walls And Roofs Sims 4

I don t understand this.
Half walls and roofs sims 4. There are houses in real life built with both tall and short walls and the roofs all look normal which is what i am trying to create in the sims 4. Although the sims 4 has made building houses better than ever it s still a bit tricky to make your dream home. Oddly you can t actually place a roof on a half wall even though there s a grid above it. That above is the problem i m having.
